The First Few Days

I have a theory about when daddy goes away and pacing yourself and the fun. If you make the first few days to much fun then the kids expect all the days to be the same. Needless to say we haven't done to many adventures. Here is what we have been up to. We planted the last of our cold weather plants in the garden and hope to have some coming up by the time daddy comes home.

He have enjoyed watching Jackson roll all over the house, I have to be more careful now about letting him roll around up stairs while I am out of the room to avoid him rolling down the stairs.

We tried to play baseball in the back yard but did not have a proper bat. So . . . .

We went to the store and got a bat and ball for Jacob and also a Polly Pocket for Miranda

The other fun thing that we have been doing is watching movies that daddy would not enjoy watching with us for too long. (Steve can only handle so much High school musical) The kids love High school musical and we will easily make it through all three of them in the next few days. :)

The Next 2 Weeks

Steven is presenting at few different conferences around the country and will be gone for the next 2 weeks. That's right, 2 weeks. I will be here with me 3 beautiful children trying to pass the time with fun activities and happy memories. I have no doubt that during that time we will also have some not fun moments as well but those would happen with or without daddy so we will make the most of it. Hopefully during that time I will be blogging to update you (as well as Steven) on all the fun thing we have been up to. Wish me luck!!!!!!

House For Sale

It is official, our house is for sale and we are moving. We have no idea where we will be going we just know that our time around here is done so the house is up for sale and we are moving.

7 Years

It is amazing how much you learn, it is amazing how much you grow, it is amazing how your perspective changes in 7 years. This last week Steven and I celebrated out 7 year anniversary. The last 7 years have been amazing and we look forward to celebrating many many more. I love you honey.

A big week for the boys

Jacob is potty trained!!!! I got tired of two children in diapers and decided it was time. I got a little push from a friend of mine that just potty trained her daughter (thanks Alicia). He has done wonderful. He still has troubles at times (that is to be expected) but all in all it has been amazing and only took 3-4 days. In this picture he is sitting on the potty showing us his black eye from falling a few day earlier. Battle wounds are cool!

He is at a fun stage and it is funny to just sit back and watch him.

Jackson is now 6 months old. We finally fed him rice cereal and he hated it. He is getting so big and rolling over but has shown no sign of wanting food at all. He is so disinterested that I asked the Dr. about it and he said it is no big deal wait another month so we might just do that and then try again. I hope he gets a little interested otherwise it will be a pain to feed him each day.

Maybe I'll just let Miranda do it, she would love that.

Pictures From Miranda's Birthday

It took me a while but here they are. We love Miranda as you can tell from the last post but I wanted to show a few pictures that I took from her Birthday. We had a fun family party with all the usual things and she got to pick it all out. For dinner she wanted red enchiladas and green beans. Since I made dinner I put Steven in charge of the cake. He did an amazing job on the cake and Miranda loved it. That is one cute fish!

A few weeks ago Miranda told me that for her birthday she wanted her very own suit case. I had to laugh because it is so practical and grown up, so Miranda. Thanks to Grandma Mendenhall that is what she got. Isn't it darling. All her other presents this year were all my Barbies and Barbie things that I played with as a child. Now she has 5 barbies, a car, a couch, a chair, and all sort of clothes and accessories. I will have to take some pictures of that because she loves all those things too.
