Christmas 2012 Phoenix Part 2

Christmas

 Christmas Eve pajamas.

 Christas morning was so much fun. We got up and opened the stockings then had a nice breakfast.  After breakfast we went back to opening presents.  The kids had so much fun and we were so spoiled by grandma and grandpa's.  Jacob favorite gifts were a cape and mask, a quiver for his arrows and a cowboy hat.  Miranda also got a cowboy hat, a sparkly purse and her very own journal.

 It was a really wonderful morning spent with grandma, grandpa and Douglas.

Christmas 2012 Phoenix Part 1

This year fro Christmas we went on a road trip to Phoenix AZ, to be with that Mills family.  From our home it is a 24 hour drive.  We were a little nervous about that drive but knew that kids could do it.  We ended up leaving the day after a blizzard to the first day was very slow going but for all the driving the kids did amazing.   This picture is what happens at a hotel room when kids have been in the car all day.  You just don't have the heart to tell them they can't jump on the bed.

 We had very few stops along the way but found this awesome rest stop with rocks to climb on.  It was a much needed 10 minute climb for the kids.

We arrived in Phoenix on Saturday morning.   The kids were looking forward to wearing there shorts and playing at the park so we had to accommodate them.  They kept saying that is felt like summer vacation.

 We Helped Grandma decorate her Christmas tree.

Liam came to play with us (he brought Tony and Erin as well:) and they all got to meet Keagan for the first time.

 Miranda helped grandma finish wrapping presents.

The kids played in the front yard with Uncle Dougie.  Doug was very cute and protective of the kids.
