Happy Birthday Steven

This last Tuesday was Steven's 28th birthday (he is getting old and moldy :) The first gift he received that morning was that both of our children, by some miracle, slept in until 6:30 am. That is a miracle around our house. It was fabulous. We had a great day. Steven's mom (who is in town to help out with the kids) took us out to a nice lunch and he got spoiled with fun presents.

Happy Birthday sweetheart I hope it was a good one.

Dumpster Diving

Guess what Steve found. I am so excited. The other day when Steven was walking to the bus stop he saw a Christmas tree box on the side walk by our neighbors garbage can. We have been looking into getting an artificial tree so he stopped to look. It looked pretty good so he hauled it home. That night for FHE we set it up to see if it was worth keeping. It is beautiful. It is a tree that you have to put each branch in separately (which is not a big deal) and on the bottom row there are three branched next to each other that are broken.(face that section toward the wall and who cares for now?) I am so excited.

It may be early but we have our Christmas tree up and that saves me a good chunk of change from having to buy one this year and Miranda was so excited to set up a tree this year it gave us a great excuse just to do it.

Merry Christmas

The ideas of a 2 1/2 yr old

Yeserday afternoon Miranda and I were in my room for a minute and Miranda noticed that I had not made my bed that morning. Of coarse she mentioned that to me and I said "Oh your right, that is bad isn't it" She then answered " yep, your a bad mommy" after a short pause she said "but your cute so it is okay"

I couldn't help but laugh the rest of the afternoon. It is amazing what children say. I found out that I am a bad mom but it is okay because I am cute.

The First 2 weeks

I just wanted to share a few pictures that we took the first little while after having 2 kids. It was great to have my mother come out and help us for the first 2 weeks and we have been having a great time. I have been able to rest a little, and Miranda had so much attention from grandma I don't know how she will handle it now that she is gone. We will see how it all goes. We won't be alone to long because Grandma Mills come to visit next week.

Halloween Fun

Although we had a new born we still found time to have fun for Halloween. Miranda had a great time being a caterpillar and her costume was so neon green that I could see her in the dark.

No one else in the family dressed up so Miranda got to be the star of the show.
