Seeing the Balloons

There is something so fun about hot air balloons. Last Saturday we were able to go to Provo and see tons of hot air balloons and the kids loved it. Here is just one of many.

Fun with Grandparents

And I just had to post this picture because Steven and Jacob did this for over 5 minutes and of course Jacob loved it.

Home Base

We have been on the road and doing so many fun things but it is always nice to have a home base. At the moment my parents house in home base.

The kids have a stable place to play and have things that are familiar and they love it

Jackson is getting so big and we are finding out which rooms in grandma's house are childproof or not.

It is also fun to be around cousins. They are creating fun memories together and we are grateful for it.

Mendenhall Family Camping

The best way to tell if you have fun camping is to see how dirty we are. Well, I can tell you that we had fun. (Jameson, Natalia, Jacob, Miranda, and Ethan)

We went up to Strawberry reservour and went 4-wheeling. We had lots of fun just being together. Jackson is getting more difficult to maintain in these situations because he is crawling all over and pulling himself up to stand. I wasn't watching him for just a moment and when I came back to check on him he had a small rock in his mouth he was trying to eat.

Jacob had so much fun playing on the 4 wheelers when they were just sitting there. Boys' fun sound effects are so fun to watch.

We love to go on the 4 wheelers.

Mills Family Reunion

Hidden Springs Ranch is a beautiful ranch up in north east Utah. It houses up to 90 people and has plenty of room to play. This was the location for the Mills family reunion this year.

The kids had tons of fun just playing and having room and freedom to go.

The pool was a big hit of course and it was fun to watch Miranda feel more comfortable in the water with just her arm floaters on. Rob and Tina's children (my niece and nephews) were so fun to watch in the water because they are so confident. the have in pool in the back yard and even there young ones would just jump and flip and dive with no fear at all.

Miranda is our artist and had so much fun doing crafts with all of Aunt Pam's (not me) crafts she brought.

My cousin lives just 3 miles from there the family reunion was and so we spent some time with her family and they took us horse back riding. As you can see Jackson was not a big fan but Miranda and Jacob loved it.

On The Road

We are on our adventure for the summer and the transition of moving. The first part of our adventure was to move all of our belongings to Storm Lake and put them in a storage unit. We also spent many of the days looking at houses to figure out if we are going to buy a home or rent.

The kids loved playing at the lake. I think we will love that part of living in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Over the course of our summer so the kids will change beds over 10 times. This is the first of the many changes. They really handled the drives and the changes well. They did better then I could have ever expected and I am always so grateful for them. They are such great kids.

We spent a little bit of time up on campus checking out where daddy will be working. The kids had fun running around this arch.

You can see that Jacob is being carried (Jackson is in my arms) He is still limping on his leg and we have been a little worried about it but he gets just a little bit better everyday so we are hoping that he is just favoring it and getting use to walking on it from having a cast on for so long.

The kids have been looking forward to the water park so much that we couldn't go to Storm Lake without swimming at the water park. It was a little cold for outside swimming the day we went so we spent the day in the in door swim park, which lets face it is just as fun.
